IHC Childcare Educators

For the delivery of the Government subsidised In Home Care Program to

  • Families who live in rural or remote areas
  • Parents who work non-standard hours
  • Families with challenging or complex needs, or who are facing challenging situations
  • No other form of childcare is available, appropriate or accessible

NDIS Support Workers

For the delivery of the below NDIS registration groups

  • Daily living life skills 0114
  • Daily personal activities 0107
  • Participate community 0125
  • Household tasks 0120
  • Community nursing 0114

In the family home as

  • Nannies

Requirements

All Carers must

  • Be at least 18 years’ old
  • Be an Australian Citizen or a permanent resident or have a relevant visa to allow employment on a continuous base for 12 months or more
  • Have a Police Check completed in the last 12 months, click here
  • Have three related referees that are not from family and friends
  • Have own car and licence
  • Have letter from your doctor stating you are fit and healthy to work in the relevant field (if required)
  • Make a 12 month commitment to work with our agency

And be prepared to complete:

  • An application form
  • Attend a preliminary phone screening interview
  • Attend a secondary behavioural interview
  • Relevant training modules
  • An induction

All IHC Childcare Educators must also have:

  • A minimum Certificate III in Early Childhood Education qualification or equivalent or be enrolled and working toward
  • Current First Aid Certificate HLTAID003 or HLTAID004
  • Current CPR Certificate HLTAID001
  • Police Check completed in the last 6 months, click here
  • Employee Working with Children Check
  • Protecting Children – Mandatory reporting and other Obligations eLearning Module – To complete this training, click here
  • Active PRODA account – To register for one click here

All NDIS Support Workers must also have:

  • Disability qualification or proven prior relevant experience
  • Current First Aid Certificate HLTAID003 or HLTAID004
  • Current CPR Certificate HLTAID001
  • Employee Working with Children Check

  • Certificate in NDIS Worker Screening Check (from February 2021), click here
